I thought this theme would be super easy to organise but as time went on i found it difficult. It was then that i realised it was worth looking into my easter and christmas collection where i found lots of rabbits and stars.

For all my printables i bought a deck of custom made playing cards, which were so easy to customise online. Out of one complete deck i managed to make all my dessert labels, and thank you cards for my favor bags as well as a bunting, presto..all for under $10!

The use of black and silver spray paint also came in handy for colour theming self made black cake stands and vases were sprayed silver for feather flowers. Magic potion drink was decorated with dice, displaying the magic number 6 followed by houdini jelly (made with edible glitter for sparkles) Cakes by Sharon worked her magic on a gorgeous rabbit in a hat cake and delicious magic themed cupcakes and card cookies by D'lish Cupcakes and Accesories also set the table.

Originally my son didnt want a magician as he was worried he was going to get cut in half but we decided on one at the last minute and were so happy with the choice. We had a red curtain backdrop and chairs set up to look the part and that is where all the magic took place.

For lunch we had pre cut slices of bread made from rabbit and star cookie cutters, i filled decorated matchboxes with edible glitter and stars. The boys had a wonderful time decorating them. Our favor bags included candy, magic tricks and a mini deck of cards.
